One values the recommendations and tips of close and true friends more than the general opinions of the masses. The mobile phone has in the meantime become a good friend for some telecommunications users, because it sticks with you through good times and bad, and also knows which music you like. Why not then name the mobile phone your personal music advisor? That’s probably what the company MusicGenome was thinking too and they went ahead and developed the fitting software solution for the mobile phone. The company introduced the new service under the title “Taste Inside!” in the frame of pilot project at the Mobile World Congress. The service is based on the already proven Smart DJ Players. This can be preinstalled onto the mobile and will then be available for use.
Given that an increasingly larger amount of mobiles sold in Europe come with a slot for memory cards, and the modern devices can support memory cards with capacities of up eight gigabytes (the iPhone even comes with 8 GB internal), the mobile’s role as an entertainer is gaining significance. Though not all users find it easy to select the desired multimedia file in the whole large selection. “Taste Inside!” should give the user recommendations regarding their own music taste, when they load a new music title onto their mobile. The service can be preinstalled on a memory card and used with an internet capable computer or simply used when the mobile is connected online. Impatient people can be happy about a one-click function.
